90' +4		There is the final whistle, and a goal by Rodrigo Ruiz is the difference as Santos Laguna claim a 1-0, first-leg win over San Juan Jabloteh.

90' +2		Santos furious now as a foul is whistled at the top of the area. The players felt they should have had the advantage played with a player racing toward goal, but the referee elected to pull it back.

90'		Corner to Santos as a cross by Morales is headed clear by Guerra. Ruiz plays it short, and Santos start to kill off the time.
88'		Time is running out on the island side here as Santos could take a solid lead into the return leg next week. Just a couple of normal minutes remain.

78'		Big chance for Jabloteh, but Becerra is up to the task to deny Guerra from close range. Moments later, Guerra breaks through again but fires wide from close range. Those efforts are the closest Jabloteh have come to a goal thus far.
75'		A shot from the top by Morales deflects off Peralta in the area, but the ball goes right to John.
74'		Another huge miss for Santos as Morales fires over the top. Ruiz slides a low ball across the face of goal to the wide open sub, but he balloons it over with John closing in. Another glorious chance not converted by the visitors.

72'		Toledo has a crack at goal from 35 yards out, but the shot sails a great distance over the top of the bar. Santos also make their final change as Iván Estrada replaces Salinas.

15'		Becerra is forced off his line as a touch pass from center is just too heavy for the run of Jason Marcano. Good move there by the hosts as they try to sneak the opening goal.
13'		The visitors are in the ascendancy here, enjoying the better of the possession at the moment. Jabloteh, however, are defending it well as Joel Russell heads back for goalkeeper Cleon John to clear the danger.
12'		Nearly an opener for Santos as Ruiz swings it to the center of the area, but Juan Pablo Santiago's header is just over the bar. Near miss for the Mexicans there.

		Good evening all from Port-of-Spain as the 2010/11 CONCACAF Champions League gets under way with preliminary round action featuring San Juan Jabloteh of Trinidad & Tobago and Mexican side Santos Laguna. Jabloteh will be keen this season to improve on their 2009/10 performance that saw them finish bottom of their group without a point. Santos, meanwhile, last appeared in the competition in the 2008/09 season when they were ousted in the semifinals by eventual winners Atlante.
