88'
N. Cardozo has scored a goal for Monterrey! Assist by A. de Nigris.
Goal Monterrey! Simple as you like, Monterrey have put one foot in the semifinals, and it's the sub Cardozo with the decisive goal. De Nigris slices through the middle and lays it off for Cardozo, who dribbles a bit and hits a left-footed shot across Talavera and into the far corner.
86'
There was a chance for Toluca, but it's gone begging. A great floated ball by Méndez from the left finds an unmarked Esquivel at the back post, but his header is wide of the target. Huge miss there for the visitors.

77'
E. Trejo enters the game and replaces J. Ayoví.
And now the second sub for Toluca brings fresh legs into the attack as Erbin Trejo replaces Jaime Ayoví.

Just a quarter-hour remains here. Monterrey still in the driver's seat, but a single goal from Toluca can extend the tie. Will there be a breakthrough?

And now a stoppage will bring Brizuela on in place of Calderón.
72'
Isaac Brizuela preparing to come on for Toluca.

63'
Each team still has its full allotment of substitutes, and it's likely not long before those start entering the fray.
60'
We've reached the hour mark on a fairly uneventful game in terms of chances. The intensity is still there, though, as both sides know what is on the line.

Only one minute added on.
45'
Jaime Ayoví breaks up the middle and lays it back for Calderón, but the midfielder cheaply gives the ball away to kill the move.
42'
No dent in the scoreline yet. Toluca would need just the one goal to force extra time, while a goalless draw would send Monterrey through to the last four.
39'
This time the Monterrey defense sufficiently clears the danger.
38'
It's played short, and the ball is played behind for another corner by Paredes. The second attempt is headed clear, and the chance goes begging for Toluca. But they keep the pressure on through Calderón, and Pérez has to head behind for another corner.

Dangerous cross by Cerda on the right, and Pérez is forced to head out for a corner.

2'
There is a fine crowd on hand for this matchup of Mexican rivals. The crowd was in full voice for last week's tie, and the same will be expected tonight.
1'
Marco Rodríguez of Mexico is the referee, and his whistle gets the match under way.
Good evening and welcome to Estadio Tecnológico in Monterrey, Nuevo León for the second leg of this CONCACAF Champions League quarterfinal tie between Monterrey and Toluca. Hosts Monterrey lead 1-0 in the tie from last week's game as Osvaldo Martínez's 83rd-minute strike proved the difference. Toluca played all but nine minutes of that first leg with only 10 men after Luis Arias' dismissal, but held their nerve to only concede the one goal. The one moves on to face Cruz Azul in the next round, and it should be a good one tonight.
